Cost Impact on the additional cost of extended AMC for 46B version. Push from the Parent company to go to Oracle as the American Based Parent company already run Oracle and so is Europe and only Australia is running SAP.

Objectives:

Upgrade from 4.6B to ECC 6 and to make sure the extensively customized WM solution is re-engineered and brought back to Standard SAP Solution and at the same time enabling a end-to-end Warehouse Management solution including Sortation System solution of Dexion's.

Build a stable and upgradable platform to perform all other business system enhancements along with a reduced TCO.

Implementation High Lights: 

• Overall TCO was reduced to less than the 4.6B version running cost. Close to 30%.
• Got rid of the risk of their WM solution not being supported by SAP as the standard Programs where modified
• Eliminated the need for purchasing additional third party BI Products as the BI and Portals were included in the ECC 6 Software.
• Netweaver Platform's Integration strength reduced the operational cost of running and maintaining third party products.
• Established a foundation for Strategic platform.
